Has the time come?

They say that "history repeats itself". I say: brace yourself for a possible world war.

I feel it, as if it was a part of me. Every time I touch the earth I feel a burning & bubbling sensation. Visualize a boiling pot nearing its boiling point. We're almost ready.

Take a quick tour around our wonderful globe - you will see shades of darkness.

Pakistan - India
Sudan - Darfur
USA - Iraq
Israel - Lebanon (Hizbollah)
Russia - Chechnya

In addition to these current conflicts, we have players like Kim from North Korea, who reminds me of the Nazi movement with their march for pride and power.

Then you have the constant but subtle threat of the sneaky Russians and Chinese. I don't know what's up with them, but every time I see Putin and Jintao I get the shivers.

Lastly, the award for the primary instigator and core immediate threat is given to Iran. With consistent and ongoing Anti-US and Anti-Israel rhetoric, Iran's president has publicly called for Israel's destruction and makes no attempt in denying his goals, and his methods of achieving these goals. Iran is the #1 representative of terrorist organizations and activities. In essence, they are the ones we should be blaming for the continuous instability in the region.

Here’s a recap of the situation: We have a crazy leader, brainwashing millions and millions of his people (and other people, apparently) into believing that destruction upon Israel is their duty, and their primary objective. Use all means necessary.

Doesn't this formula remind you of 70 years ago? When a crazy man named Hitler got on TV endlessly and called for the destruction of Jews? He also succeeded in brainwashing millions of his people into accepting and executing this idea. Some years later over 6 millions Jews were murdered, nations were conquered, and a world war had emerged.

I find it absurdly amusing that these clowns don't even have the decency to hide their evil nature. They publicly display it. Heck, they are proud of it. But what isn't funny to me, is that too many nations and people - most likely due to their natural anti-Semitic sentiment - are too quick to criticize Israel. Others are typical liberals who see Israel as an equal to the US and will unconditionally criticize Israel and the US.

This ignorance is definitely playing into the hands of the Iranians and Syrians, and is impeding the progress of a New World Order - a new world in which Islamic Fascism is defeated. A new world in which other nations, aside from our Western democratic nations, can realize the benefits of human rights, gender and race equality, religious tolerance and a growing economy.

The war is inevitable. The question is timing. We need one last world war in order to take humanity to its next level in our evolutionary process. I just hope we minimize innocent casualties, and maximize damage to the terrorist states and groups.

When I say we need one last war, its sole purpose is to eradicate the "evil" that does exist in this world, and to pave way for a true and lasting peace where dialogue is meaningful, and the desire to make peace is natural and honest.

When good men stay silent

We’re in day 18 of this war, approximately 100 (hundred!) rockets a day are launched at Israel on a daily basis. Many of them are launched from the peaceful village of Qana. You may have already heard, IDF has bombarded parts of Qana in Southern Lebanon today. A building in which were civilians collapsed and there are many women and children among the dozens of casualties. Sadly, they could have been alive now.

IDF sends several days in advance clear messages in Arabic BEFORE bombarding parts of villages. Even if this tactically weakens IDF, it does this for one only reason: allowing civilians to get the hell out of there before the rocket launchers get bombarded. These launchers are usually placed inside strategic locations as in civilians homes. Just next to the nursery and living-room. Even mosques are used for the same purposes. How noble.

The civilians, who remain in these places after IDF warmly suggested them to leave, explicitly declare their endless loyalty to Hizballah. They would die and sacrifice their own people for Hizballah and their cause, which is the destruction of Israel, in case you wondered.

Yeah, yeah we all heard about their cause being “the liberation of prisoners held by the Zionists” but, we also hear the countless other voices and signs in the demonstrations held world-wide: from Australia to NY, from Malaysia to United Kingdom, from Canada to Switzerland. Among them: “Islam Will Dominate”; “We are all Hizbullah”; “Allah Will Destroy The Terrorist State of Israel” etc – hmm, so what exactly is the majority of the world urging us to “negotiate"? When to erase Israel from the map? Negotiate the milestones of the roadmap for Islam to dominate the entire globe? Furthermore, since when is a democratic state expected to negotiate with a terrorist organization that fired (and keeps firing) close to 2,000 rockets at innocent civilians?

These are new times; the world's fear is making it act like a coward. Only cowards negotiate with Evil instead of defeating it. Yes, the world is scared of the Radical Islam fight against the western democratic world. This fight has even united Shiites and Sunnites.

Israel feels terrible each time civilians are caught up in the fire zone. I feel sick when I see IDF left with no other choice than to target terrorists within civilian populations in order to protect our country. Israeli PM Olmert and Chief of Staff have already apologized about this terrible incident in Qana. The only incident Hizballah was so dignified to apologize for is the killing of Arab children in Nazareth. Hizballah's statement included that these children are Shahids now: they died for the superior cause: the destruction of Israel and/or Capitalist America and/or Western civilization.

Am I the only one spotting the differences?

'Disproportionate' in What Moral Universe?

"The perversity of today's international outcry lies in the fact that there is indeed a disproportion in this war, a radical moral asymmetry between Hezbollah and Israel: Hezbollah is deliberately trying to create civilian casualties on both sides while Israel is deliberately trying to minimize civilian casualties, also on both sides."

It's war. Again.

I came to this crazy but amazing country 16 years ago just before the Gulf War in 1991. Back then, the big enemy was Iraq and its unconventional weapons, meaning chemical warfare. Each time the sirens sounded we all ran to our improvised sealed rooms with our stupid gas masks on, looking ridiculous while hearing the conventional scuds hit the soil. The US urged Israel not to retaliate to Iraq's constant missiles attack and let the US 'take care' of Iraq and Saddam. So we did, not that it was easy, but we obeyed. The scud attacks stopped after a month and a half. It's weird to say it but that was nothing compared to what we experience now.
Today, we're 16 days into "my second war". This time we have a new enemy: the Hizballah, which is harbored by Lebanon, which is supported by Syria, which is supported by Iran. What a fun crowd!
We find ourselves explaining why we need to fire back at terrorists and we're being told to talk peace while rockets are falling over a third of the country and after two soldiers were kidnapped from within our borders and are now being held hostage.
This time, I'm scared - because the majority of the world's reaction is anything but empathic to Israel. Take France. Now imagine Hizballah controlling Belgian cities and villages, kidnapping two French soldiers from France and then firing 100 rockets a day from "innocent" neighborhoods in southern Belgium and killing French civilians in their homes. Obviously France would gently request to have a chat with the Hizballah over coffee and croissant to discuss how to solve their disagreements. Yeah, right. And I have huge boobies.
I'm scared because this war could easily escalate and can have terrible consequences for the whole western world. We're fighting that war everyone else is afraid to fight: the war against Radical Islam. Europe is running out of Europeans, it's a fact. Soon we will see Muslims demonstrating in France against the French government as they don't let them build little self governed ghettos in France, oops... right... they already did that this year.
How much longer will the world keep acting like the 3 famous monkeys? Avoiding problems does not solve them. We've already been there when Europe laughed at Einstein claming he was paranoid for thinking Hitler would invade Belgium, Netherlands or god forbid France. But yes, that "crazy moustache man" did it. He even surprised my own grandfather when he left Germany for Belgium during the 1940's, he lost his wife and 3 kids. Evil is evil, nothing will stand in his way if no-one takes drastic steps to stop him.
Today's war reminds me of that other war, it's again an ideological war based on pure hatred and racism on a global scale, not a local territorial one as the majority of the media would want you to believe. It's not the "occupied territories problem" - we withdrew from southern Lebanon 6 years ago and from Gaza a year ago. It's just extremely convenient to use this as an excuse in order to squeeze out sympathy from driven humanitarian liberals and have them join their cause against the terrible Zionist oppressor and aggressor who's causing so much trouble and provocation in the Middle East.
Sadly enough, it is almost impossible to convince anyone on the other camp to join yours, their convictions are very deep. Apparently when you tell a lie enough times, in the end it will be regarded as truth. Rectifying the distortion of the truth can take generations. So where do you start? I guess by posting in a blog. But what a long long way to go...
P.S - following my beloved husband's post, let's set the record straight:
I was not panicking. I was just having a minor heart attack combined with asthma while stumbling over my Crocks, not sandals. Sweetheart, accuracy is important.

The Left and Israel

I just cannot believe what happens to liberals when it comes to Israel. It seems all rational thought goes out the door. If the republicans support Israel we must not.

When it comes Israel, the Liberals of the world seemt to take a harderline than the liberals of the arab world and in fact take the views of the crazy fanatics of the Arab world. Very Strange. In any case, in all this strangeness i found quite a nice post by Bill Maher at Arianna Huffington's blog: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/bill-maher/i-love-being-on-the-side-_b_25375.html

I have to say, watching George Bush talk about Israel the last week has reminded me of a feeling that I hadn't felt in so long I forgot what it felt like: the feeling of pride when your president says what you want your president to say, especially in a matter that chokes you up a bit. I surrender my credentials as Bush exposer - from the very beginning - to no man, but on Israel, I love it that a U.S. president doesn't pretend Arab-Israeli conflict is an even-steven proposition

You dont see that very often.

We're Back

It's been a while. We have decided to try again. When i say we i obviously mean myself and my brother. When we first started Cverity (our first attempt at blogging) the blog world was, well not exactly in its infancy, but definately not where it is today. Although we tried to mantain the blog, we each found oursleves in a period of our lives where doing so was difficult.

There are thousands of blogs today. From sex blogs to political blogs its all there. So whats the point of having yet another blog to the thousands already out there? Well, there may be no point. Hopefully, some of our friends and family from around the globe will see this blog as a place to read about some of things going on in Israel - at least from our viewpoint.

So here we are, my first post, 11 days into the second Israel - Lebanon War.

The other night my wife and I were sitting at home, in Tel Aviv. I was as usual glued to the TV, listening to the news. Thats all i do nowadays. My wife, she was in the kitchen preparing dinner. Suddenly we here Boom after Boom. My wife immediately came running to me, she was panicking. She ran, put on her sandals turned off the stove, left the food as is and in a half crying voice said to me lets go downstairs immediately. Downstairs means the bomb shelter in our building. I asked her to calm down for a moment, i took a look out the window and recognized the sound as fireworks that we often hear around where we live since we are very close to Israel's amusment park and park area where concerts often take place. She was not immediately convinced that it was fireworks but after a minute or so when it stopped she realized that Tel Aviv was not under missle attack, only fireworks.

I write this just to give you the general feeling in Israel. Even in Tel Aviv where things are seemingly going on as usual, things are tense. People are tense. And scared. And if this is how we feel in Tel Aviv, I cannot imagine what the people living in the north of the country feel when they hear those booms and sirens wailing in the backround not to mention the Lebanese who have to hear bombs falling on a daily basis.

How much longer will this last? Personally I hope it ends and ends soon. But like the majority of the Israeli public I too believe this should not end without significant Israeli gains - mainly moving Hizballah and its missles out of the south of Lebanon.
